September's first weekend update

Although I wanted to go for the Grouse Grind with my friend, we ended up going to WhiteRock for a stroll; all because of Harvie. Well, he’s preparing for his CFA now and I thought with his MBA done we were good for some time and we could actually have some proper family time – I mean “vacation”. Anyway, so we just went on our own…there were lots and lots of geese and sea gulls. Kabir and Sehaj were so excited. To add to that there came the longest train ever and me and Sehaj started counting the boxes – we were literally shouting. Sehaj enjoyed the counting for a change. We took the 148th St coming and going which is so steep. It’s a bit scary but, we made it.
Sunday afternoon after hearing me complain Harvie agreed to take us to Harrison Hot Springs - last minute plan. It turned out pretty nice…the kids enjoyed a lot on the beach – Kabir is not afraid of the water at all. Initial couple of minutes he found the water to be very cold but, got over that quite fast. And then, there was no turning back…I had to drag him out numerous times. What’s up with this guy, he started bending forward till his face was in the water…and apparently he loved it. And, we got to see the beautiful Sand sculptures. Bought some fresh fruit and corn along the way. And crashed at East India Restaurant in Langley (near Willowbrook Mall) for dinner just before heading home.
