This year I had no plans to celebrate Holi...thanks to the yuck weather forecast all week. But, I started getting calls a day earlier from my friends asking what's the Holi plan??? We were so close to packing our car and heading to Calgary or atleast to Seattle but, nope...ended up relaxing at home. I started calling everybody Friday evening for Saturday's Holi event and everybody I called was excited to be a part of the celebration...the weather was pretty good...a little windy in the beginning but, it cleared up.
Holi day - We got together around 11ish, socializing, kiddies got to do a little Easter Hunt of their own (turned out to be fun for them), had lots of Chai (tea), ate Chole Bhature (ordered from Shagun Sweets), and then, the fun began...Kabir inaugrated the event...somehow Sehaj opened a Yellow color pack and threw the dry color all over his face, poor guy had it in his mouth, eyes, and ofcourse started crying...cleaned him up and he was wondering what happened to everybody...can't recognise folks, where is my mummy/daddy/Sehaj? By now, we were all being attacked by others with different colors...and were covered up...couldn't recognise anybody.
We had lots of fun. We were done by 3pm, headed home, straight for the shower.
